A NUMBER of programs operated by schools and other non-profit organizations target young people using drugs and alcohol. The programs listed below offer various treatment options and prevention services in support of youth.

Coastal Turning Point provides integrated behavioral health care that meets the differing needs of the community with an individualized approach, and various evidence-based treatments. This wellness center offers individual, group and family counseling as well as intensive outpatient and day treatment for substance abuse offered to teens and adults. Comprehensive testing for brain health, Biofeedback and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are also available for whom it is appropriate.

Friday Night Live/Club Live (FNL/CL) is a multi-cultural peer program designed to engage young people in limiting youth access to alcohol, and educating their peers on the consequences of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among middle school and high school students. FNL/CL promotes healthy lifestyle choices in our community and develops and strengthens leadership skills for positive community change. Tyler house is a voluntary 6-month residential dual diagnosis co-ed treatment program for adolescents aged 14 - 17 residing in Santa Cruz County. This therapeutic program provides the support and guidance needed for the foundational development of ongoing sobriety. Tyler House is supported by Federal, State and County funding. Families are expected to pay a share of cost based on income and family resources.Cost is generally small and varies by family.
